First Family Gathering
When we moved into the house, Rob's mom, Janet and her husband, Bruce were away driving across Canada and they missed out on being apart of the move in and the small family gathering we had then. We knew as soon as they returned we would want to have a gathering with family to welcome Janet and Bruce back home and celebrate the return of the ancestral home.

The first weekend after they arrived we were able to plan a little party and invited as many family members as we could. I was expecting only a handful to show up, but to my surprise over 20 people showed up and we had a great time. Getting to talk to everyone about the house, the memories they had and to see everyone interact with the house was very special.
It was really amazing to have all the family back in the home and to hear it filled with everyones voices. It was something that both Rob and I had thought of but to actually experience it was wonderful, it was as if the spirit of the house came alive.
We can't wait to have more gatherings with friends and family and we know there will be many more to come. A house like this asks to be filled with happy, celebrating voices.
